Akhenaten,
the monotheist pharaoh, is a victim of the fanatics who worship
the Ancestral Gods. His second brother, Tutankhaten (Tut’s
first name), aged nine, grows up by his side in the palace. Egypt
falls into chaos. To save the Empire, the chief of war launches
an attack against the Hittites barbarians. It is a disaster. |
 |
Tutankhaten
goes to war along with the rest of the regiment. He is tracked
down in the desert and attacked by the Hittites. A young slave
saves the young Prince's life by trading places with him. The
two youngsters become friends.
The priests who worship Amun raise an army of mercernaries to
come and save the Empire. Tutankhaten becomes king in the place
of his brothers and is renamed Tutankhamun. But the true keepers
of power wonder if the slave, the friend of the Pharaoh, will
keep secret the cowardice of the new Monarch… |
